I have a ton of videos on youtube, and also hosted on my server... and would love it if this application worked... but it wont!!!!!

When I try "YouTube video get URL from opening page", all I get is a webpage saying
"Enter YouTube Address (URL) and click the Get Video button."

So, I do, and click GET VIDEO, and it plays. Nothing else. okay,,, what's the point?

I try copying the YouTube URL in the "Main Video" entry instead... nothing plays.

I try copying a link to my videos on my server... nothing plays.

I try browsing for video on my local drives. .... nothing plays.

I rename my videos to "movie1.flv" and copy them to your demo_files folder and it plays.

That's the only way to make your product work. I am moving onto other Dreamweaver plug-ins to see if another company makes one that will work. But, if there is some magic formula I am missing, it would be nice to know... I love what you CLAIM you can do for me. I know you're free demo, so I appreciate that, but I don't have any more time to waste with no help topics anywhere to help me.

I'm wondering if this has to do with ASP pages....RAPRODUCER, are you trying to play the video in an ASP page?

If I rename my file to .htm, I then get an error message saying it can't find the URL - even though the youtube URL is correct.

If I run the file as an ASP page, I don't get any error - nothing...

WebStunning, is anyone there?

Our video player supports direct YouTube links from version 4.3.1 (please look here: http://webstunning.com/flv-player/release-notes/)

You can check player work here: http://webstunning.com/get-youtube-video/

PS In earlier versions we offered users to download videos from youtube and then play in the player. Please download new free version of the player and check.

I have the same problem, only I don't even get the ''get video' up on my stunning webplayer...& I purchased the version in the hope that this would save space on my server...Am I meant to be putting in the embedding code from youtube & not the URL?
Some assistance would be appreciated as I am feeling a little duped at this point. that I have wasted my money on a product that doesnt work...I am using it in conjunction with Dreaweaver CS5.

Thanks Mandi :(

Guys, please send links to your web pages with player and problem. Hundreds of users do not have your problems ... and I need to see the configuration of your players.

I'm having the same exact issue. I plug the URL into the GUI and making sure youtube is chosen. But live on the site it says "missing file."

Please read my previous posts! You have old version of the player 4.1.5

Right-click your mouse and you will see your version!

Nik,

I think the confusion is, the older version has "youtube" in the dropdown, and allows you to enter the youtube link. So the expected behavior is for the video to play/work.

This confused me too....if the option is there, you'd expect it to work.

I actually upgraded to the latest version, and the dropdown and everything is the same, but actually works now.

So really, the option shouldn't be there if the version doesn't support it - my 2 cents.

Thanks

Previously, when selecting "youtube" in the dropdown opened our webpage with JS script to download videos to your local disk.
